It is possible to travel by bus from Tirana, Albania🇦🇱 to Pristina, Kosovo🇽🇰.

You can also make reservations in advance from this website.

This is the information about the bus terminal, how to get there, and bus conditions.

And enjoy your trip!🚌

About 4 hours from Tirana

The bus terminal in Tirana. There are many buses and bus companies.

The bus terminal in Tirana is not a particularly large building, but simply a place where buses and wagons are lined up in a slightly spacious parking lot.

So there is no particular place to wait for buses or shelter from the wind.

It might be quite hard in winter.

However, there are cafes and restaurants nearby, so you can kill some time there.

I took this bus this time. You should check the destination on the front grass.

There is no electronic bulletin board with destinations and departure times, so you should go a little early to check which bus you should take, or check the destinations posted on the front of the bus for peace of mind.

There were several buses and wagons with "Pristina" written on them, so be careful not to take the wrong one.

The bus was scheduled to depart at 2:00 p.m. and left at exactly 2:00 p.m.

I am sorry for thinking that the bus would be late anyway.

The boarding rate was 50%. (I used this service at the beginning of February.)

Half of them got off at the town right after entering Kosovo, and the other half all got off at Pristina.

Rest time before the border

There are restroom, restaurant, and a small market.

You can take something and some coffee.

At the hotel before the border, there is a rest stop for about 20 minutes.

There is a kind of a little market, a restroom, and a restaurant, so there were people drinking coffee, buying something like bread, and eating a normal meal.

Just before the bus departs, the driver will sound the horn and everyone will come back.

If you have any money left over in Albanian currency, you may want to spend the last of it here.

Also, since there is only one rest stop here, make sure to use the restroom, etc.

Passport at the border

When crossing the border between Albania and Kosovo, a police officer will come into the bus and ask for your passport.

After about 10 minutes, one of the bus staff will go around and return your passport and ID card one by one.

It doesn't take any time here and you should be able to pass through without any problems, but you will not be able to get off the bus even if it has stopped.

I never thought I would see the day when my passport would have a Kosovo entry stamp...I was a bit impressed.

Arrival in Pristina, Kosovo

After another hour and a half, I arrived in Pristina.

This bus also stops once in Prizren, before Pristina.

I was thinking while riding the bus that it would have been better to stay one night in Prizren and then go back to Pristina the next day, but it was too late, so I went straight to Pristina.

No Wi-Fi, No charging spot

It takes about 4 hours to get to Pristina, but you can't charge your phone or use Wi-Fi on the bus.

I think these are still in their infancy.

Beautiful seeing

No time to sleep.

Huge nature

However, from Albania to Kosovo, you will pass through mountain roads.

The scenery along the way is really wonderful.

I was there at the beginning of February. At that time of the year, there was still snow on the mountaintops, which made the scenery even more fantastic.

Better to take a bus from Bus terminal in Pristina

I walked for about 40 minutes, it was a bit hard,

It is better to take a Bus to get to the city center.

The bus terminal in Pristina is located a bit far from the city center. If you walk, it will take more than 30 minutes.

The currency in Kosovo is Euro.

Bus tickets can be bought directly from the driver inside the bus; a single ticket costs 50 cents and a daily ticket costs 80 cents.

There is a possibility that it may have changed.

And be sure to have cash ready, as cards are not accepted in many places!

End...

In this article, I introduced bus transportation from Tirana🇦🇱, Albania to Pristina, Kosovo🇽🇰.

Even though they are neighboring countries and speak the same language, the feeling of the people and the streets are two very different things.

You can get there in a few hours and I hope you will visit both.

So that's it for this travel post! Thank you very much.
