”Is it true that Hungary has the most beautiful library in the world?"
"How can I use the library?"
In this article, I will focus on how to use the library in Budapest, Hungary🇭🇺.
You may think, "If I had studied in such a space, I would have been smarter..."
"Free" seating available basically
Almost libraries are "free" to enter, read books, and work on computers.
However, in order to "borrow books" or "use Wi-Fi," you must be issued a special card. (Paying a fee)
Some libraries, including the "Metropolitan Ervin Szabo Library", which is also known as "the most beautiful library in the world," also require this card for entry.
※Metropolitan Ervin Szabo Library is called the most beautiful library in the world
So, first of all, let me summarize how to get this special card and its price.
300 ft ~ for a year.

300 ft just to enter
If you only need to enter the library, you can use it as many times as you like for 300ft/year.
If you just want to enter the "World's Most Beautiful Library," you can use this plan.
However, this plan is "just to read books in the library", so you basically cannot "borrow books" or "use Wi-Fi".
If you want to bring your own computer, study tools, or your own books, these are totally OK.
I was issued a card with this plan.
I was told that Wi-Fi was not available, but when I visited other libraries, I was able to use Wi-Fi by entering my card number.
This is the explanation I received at the counter of the "World's Most Beautiful Library," so maybe the rules are slightly different at each library.
Also, for one day use (all services available, until closing time), you can use the library for 1500ft.
7300ft/ year to borrow and Wi-Fi for adults

All services are available
If you want to use the library not only to read books but also to borrow books and use Wi-Fi, the plan will change. And the price jumps up considerably for some reason.
And the fee for "only the most beautiful library in the world" and the fee for "all libraries available" are different.
Only the most beautiful library
- 7300ft / year (3650ft)
- 5100ft / 6 months (2550ft)
- 3700ft / 3 months (1850ft)
* Fees in ( ) are for students and pensioners
All library
- 9900ft / year (4950ft)
- 7300ft / 6 months(3650ft)
* Fees in ( ) are for students and pensioners
Honestly, it is enough to enter the library and you may not need to pay this much, but if you are a student, you may be able to use all libraries for a year at a relatively affordable price.
Don't forget your card when you enter the library.

Got a card
They will issue you a card like this one after the procedure is complete.
You will need it to enter the library and connect to Wi-Fi, so don't forget to bring it with you.
As for Wi-Fi, you should be able to connect by entering "the number under the barcode" and "date of birth (20041998: day month year)".
"Metropolitan Ervin Szabo Library" the most beautiful library in the world
The main building of the Metropolitan Ervin Szabo Library is housed in the 19th century neo-baroque Wenkheim Palace. As the city library needed more space for its growing collection, it expanded into a network of additional buildings while the palace was restored as a national monument. Today, the library covers 13,000 m² and houses 1.1 million volumes, making it the largest public library in Budapest. From Wikipedia

Indeed, some of the spaces in the library look like the inside of a castle.
Well, I have never been inside a proper castle.
I thought it was just a gleaming room, but there were gorgeous spaces of different tastes, even a massive cool room.
It is hard to believe that this is a picture of an ordinary public library.
Of course, you can freely use the tables and chairs in the rooms.
However, I guess this space is still popular, and the seats are filled up quite early in the morning.
If you go, I recommend going first thing in the morning.
Also, this gorgeous area is only one floor. Most of the other areas are not much different from the normal library.
When using the "World's Most Beautiful Library," you are instructed to put their jackets in a locker before entering the library.
The locking procedure is a bit tricky, but remember your locker number and carry your valuables with you.
The café just inside the entrance is also spacious and cozy

You can relax in the cafe, it's pretty spacious.

I put on dessert and got stuck in!
I also recommend the café at the entrance on the first floor.
It is quite spacious and relaxing. You can enjoy coffee, desserts, and meals.
End...
